ACTCON Energy (“ACTCON”) is a business matching, training, supplier development and ancillary support services company set up to support the burgeoning oil and gas industry of Senegal and other countries comprising the MSGBC basin. At ACTCON, we believe that with the right knowledge and skill set, both the human and natural resources of Senegal can be harnessed to achieve significant growth and development. We are passionate to see active participation of indigenous businesses and entrepreneurs in the extractive sector activities.
With the recent significant oil and gas discoveries in the region, the MSGBC basin is more attractive than ever for international companies. ACTCON Energy, with its global exposure and local insights, understands the essential requirement of easing the complex web of interactions for international as well as local companies. We facilitate these introductions and partnerships by providing specialist due diligence and matching services to streamline and ease the process. We also provide training programs to help build capacity and capability of local companies / indigenous entities.
ACTCON works closely with public and private sector stakeholders in the extractive sector to understand the regulatory requirements, standards and best practices and incorporate these into our capacity building programs. Our trained local businesses are confident, efficient and informed on national and international standards, making them the go-to suppliers for major buyers.
OUR APPROACH
ACTCON Energy places the emphasis on providing businesses with specific training needs and skills required in the extractive industry and ensures this is done in compliance with existing international and national standards. This is achieved through rapid and targeted training which promote development of local skills within the shortest possible time frame. The Process Flow Chart illustrates our unique approach of engagement, gap identification and introduction of various intervention to eliminate operational and technical inefficiencies. It also outlines a set of strategies and tools that are adopted at every given stage of SME development.
